RARE QUALITIES RARE  REWARDS

 

At BVBCET, great emphasis is placed on student projects. This enables students to define objectives, analyze requirements and apply the knowledge they have gained to such projects, which see industry involvement and often funding too by agencies such as KSCST, are opportunities for students to explore the limits of their abilities. The excellence fostered and nurtured by the college has resulted in a host of awards. These include:

 

  • The Championship Award (Technical) at SRISHTI 2003 held at PESIT, Bangalore and the runners up award at SRISHTI 2004 at SJCE, Mysore. Organised annually by ABVP, SRISHTI is a state level Techno Management Fair that judges the quality of student projects.

 

  • “Best College of the Year, 2002” at KSCST Student Project Programme held at SIT, Tumkur. This event, organized by the Karnataka State Council for Science and Technology annually is an exhibition of all student project funded by it.

 

 

  • First prize at the National Projects Presentation Competition held at APS College of Engineering, Bangalore in June 2003, a team consisting of Anand Baid, Shankar Joshi, Lalit Daya and Darshan Banavi presented the project “Cable TV Automation System” to win the prize.

 

  • Award winning project at 34th All India Student Competition, 2003 organized by the National Design and Research Forum of the Institution of Engineers (India), Kolkata. The project “Software Teaching Aid for Artificial Neural Networks, ANN-IT” was presented by Chetan Kotturshettar and Vinayak Bhat.
