ABOUT THE INSTITUTE
The B.V. Bhoomaraddi College of Engineering and Technology (BVBCET) established in 1947, has achieved an enviable status due to a strong emphasis on academic and technical excellence. Currently the College offers 11 UG and 6 PG courses affiliated to Visvesvaraya Technological University, Belgaum, and is recognized by AICTE, New Delhi and accredited by NBA. A QMS in compliance with ISO 9001:2000 standards has been in place for 5 years and it addresses the key areas of meeting the student’s needs effectively.
Spread over a luxurious 56 acres, the picturesque campus comprises of various buildings with striking architecture. Situated on the Pune - Bangalore highway in the city of Hubli, the College is well-connected by road and rail to every major city in the country. A constant endeavor to keep abreast with technology has resulted in excellent state-of-the-art infrastructure that supplements every engineering discipline. ABOUT THE COURSE
With reference to Internet Technology there has been massive growth in the research area of image processing. This one week STTP focuses on AI based soft computing tools applied to image processing applications with a view to promote R & D activities in the field of image processing. The participants will get enough opportunity to enhance their knowledge in the field of soft computing tools applicable to image processing through interaction with the experts. This will stimulate the research potential of the candidate who wishes to pursue research in the related field.
RESOURCE PERSONS
The course will be conducted by the faculty members of the host institute and distinguished members of the reputed institutes and industries.
ELIGIBILITY
Course is open to all teachers from AICTE recognized Engineering Colleges/ Polytechnics with an aptitude and interest in the above field.
SELECTION PROCEDURE
Selection will be made by short-listing the applicants, based on their experience in teaching and research.

Note
- Participants will be provided accommodation in the hostel. Accommodation for participants from Industry/R&D Organizations will be arranged on prior request on payment basis either in hostels or in hotels.
- Candidates not selected for the STTP will be returned the demand drafts. Selected candidates who will not report to the program or discontinue after the commencement of the program will forefeit the registration fee.
